EOS Matrix d.o.o. is registered in the national register of authorized credit servicers under number SK005.

The process of obtaining above mentioned authorization (so-called licensing) was carried out in accordance with the Law on the manner, conditions and procedure of servicing and purchase and sale of receivables (Official Gazette, No. 155/2023).

The aim of the Law is to regulate the business of purchasers and servicers of non-performing receivables, to prescribe the procedure for obtaining authorization and supervision over authorized companies, while taking into consideration the protection of consumer rights.

As a part of the EOS Group, which has been successfully operating for 50 years and has business locations in 26 countries, EOS MATRIX offers advanced services in the field of receivables management with the aim of reaching agreements and creating individual repayment plans that lead to sustainable debt reduction, i.e. debt repayment.

The EOS Group is oriented to implementation of high business standards, aligned with ESG requirements and in December 2023 the Group achieved an ESG rating of 10.2 (low risk) from the renowned rating agency Morningstar Sustainalytics, which ranks the Group in the top two percent within the consumer financing industry.

In accordance with the Law on the manner, conditions and procedure of servicing and purchase and sale of receivables (Official Gazette, No. 155/2023), the authorization to act as a credit servicer is valid as long as the legal conditions for performing the activity are met.

10 things you need to know about debt collection.

  1. Selling receivables to debt collection agencies is a standard business decision of thousands of companies, which facilitates their regular operations, payment of salaries to employees, and settlement of their own liabilities.
  2. In Croatia, following the Obligations Act, the debt, when taken over by the debt collection agency, remains the same as it was with the original creditor. This means that, in the event of non-payment, the statutory default interest is calculated in the same way as it would be calculated with the original creditor.
  3. Debt collection agencies that operate by the positive legal regulations of the Republic of Croatia do not generate additional costs for the debtor. Further legal proceedings are initiated only in the case of non-payment.
  4. Debtors who establish communication with the debt collection agency, in cooperation with the agents, define an individual repayment plan, aligned with their current financial situation.
  5. Thanks to communication, mutual trust, and an individual repayment plan, hundreds of debtors successfully repay their debts every day, without the additional costs of foreclosure.
  6. The original creditor is obliged to inform the debtor about the sale of receivables to a third party. Afterward, EOS Matrix additionally informs debtors about the receivable purchase.
  7. The goal of the debt collection agency is to avoid the initiation of an enforcement procedure, which creates additional costs for the debtor (the price of initiating the procedure at the Financial Agency, court fees, notary's and lawyer's fees, and other costs of the procedure). That is why it is crucial to establish communication in order to create an individual repayment plan as soon as possible.
  8. The debt collection agency contacts only debtors or persons authorized by the debtor.
  9. By the General Regulation on Personal Data Protection, the agencies are obliged to verify the identity of the person they are communicating with. This is precisely why they ask the debtor to identify himself in every conversation.
  10. EOS Matrix contacts debtors only on business days from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
