6. Cookies

When you access and browse the site, we use cookies to make your visit as pleasant and efficient as possible. Cookies are text files created by a website and automatically stored in the browser on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, or similar). Cookies do not harm your device and do not contain viruses or malicious software. Information collected in connection with the specific device you use is stored in the cookie. Cookies may contain unique identifiers that allow your browser or device to be recognized. By themselves, these identifiers generally do not allow direct identification of your person unless they are linked to additional information.

We use cookies for various reasons. Certain cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the website and its basic functionalities and enable safe and smooth use of the website. Without these cookies, certain functionalities would not be available or would not work correctly.

In addition, we also use cookies that improve the user experience. They allow the website to remember certain settings or choices you have made, so you do not have to re-enter them on your next visit.

Cookies are divided into four categories: essential, statistical, functional, and marketing cookies.

Essential cookies are necessary for the operation and basic functions of the website and enable the website to operate securely.

Statistical cookies are used to improve the user experience and ensure a needs-based design, and to continuously optimize the website. For this purpose, we collect aggregated or pseudonymized data for statistics and analytics, for example, to determine website traffic, page view statistics, user behavior, and to adapt and improve website content and experience.

Functional cookies are used to facilitate the use of the website. If you visit this website again, they will automatically recognize that you have visited the website before, and the data and settings you entered will be automatically recognized, so you will not have to re-enter them. For example, in this way, upon a return visit, you will not have to re-enter your user data but will be able to access the data you have already entered.

Marketing cookies are used to provide you with relevant content based on visitors' interests when you visit the website.

Essential cookies are indispensable for the functioning of the website, and your consent is not required for their use. Data processed using essential cookies is processed on the basis of the Company's legitimate interest, to ensure the proper functioning of the website.

Data collected and processed through functional, statistical, and marketing cookies is carried out based on the consent you have given, in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR for the purpose of providing personalized content, for statistical purposes to improve user experience, and for marketing purposes. You can change/withdraw your consent for them at any time by clicking on the "Change cookie settings" option at the bottom of the website.

Cookie Management

Most browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can adjust your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or that a message always appears before a new cookie is set. Different browsers manage cookie settings in different ways. This is described in each browser's "Help" menu, which explains how to change cookie settings. Follow the links below depending on the browser you are using:

• Microsoft Edge

• Firefox

• Chrome

• Safari

• Opera

Completely deactivating cookies may result in you not being able to use all functions on this website.

7. Analytics Tools

To ensure that the website is adapted to user needs and to continuously improve it, we use analytics tools. These tools allow us to statistically analyze the use of our website and evaluate its effectiveness for further improvement of content, functionality, and user experience.

Information on the purposes of processing and categories of personal data for individual analytical tools is provided below in this section.

The legal basis for this processing of personal data is your consent in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Siteimprove Analytics

This website uses Siteimprove Analytics for the purposes described in the "Statistical cookies" category. Siteimprove Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Siteimprove GmbH.

Data is stored and processed on Siteimprove's servers located in Denmark. IP addresses are fully anonymized before data collected through Siteimprove Analytics becomes available to EOS via the Siteimprove Suite platform. After anonymization, it is not possible to re-identify the IP address or link anonymized IP addresses to the collected data.

8. Social Networks

a) Shariff solution

How do we protect your privacy with social media buttons (Shariff solution)?

On our website, you will find buttons for sharing content and links to our profiles on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Xing. We know how important your privacy is, so we do not use the standard buttons that social networks usually offer, but have implemented a special solution called Shariff.

What does Shariff do for your privacy?

Unlike typical buttons that immediately establish a connection with social networks as soon as you visit a page, Shariff acts as an "intermediary."

No automatic data transfer: When you visit our page, social networks cannot automatically collect your personal data, track your behavior, or set cookies. The buttons are displayed as regular links or static images.

Anonymous data retrieval: Our web server, on your behalf and without forwarding your personal data, contacts social networks to, for example, retrieve the current number of shares of a certain content. In this process, only the IP address of our server is forwarded to social networks, not your individual IP address. This means you remain invisible to social networks until you consciously decide to interact.

Your control: Only when you consciously click on one of the Shariff buttons (e.g., "Share" or a link to our profile) is a direct connection established between your internet browser and the provider of the respective social network.

What happens after your click?

After you click the button, you are redirected to the social network platform. From that moment on, the social network provider may process your personal data in accordance with its privacy policy. More detailed information on the processing of personal data by individual social networks is available in their privacy statements. Our responsibility for data processing ceases the moment you leave our site and interact directly with the social network.

b) YouTube videos

Our website contains links to videos available through the YouTube service, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.

If you activate the playback of YouTube videos or click on a link leading to YouTube, a direct connection is established between your browser and YouTube. Google then receives information about your visit to our website, including your IP address and other technical data necessary for establishing the connection.

We have no influence on the processing of personal data carried out by Google after the connection is established. More information on how Google processes personal data related to the YouTube service is available in its privacy policy.

9. Data Subject Rights

At any time, you can request the exercise of rights guaranteed by the General Data Protection Regulation, namely:

  • The right to access your personal data that we process in accordance with Article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data in accordance with Article 16 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • The right to erasure of your personal data that we hold in accordance with Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • The right to restriction of processing of personal data in accordance with Article 18 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • The right to data portability in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format in accordance with Article 20 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • The right to withdraw given consent in accordance with Article 7 (3) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in accordance with Article 77 of the General Data Protection Regulation. The supervisory authority in the Republic of Croatia is the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency, Metela Ožegovića 16, 10000 Zagreb, E-mail: [email protected].

Requests for the exercise of any of the above data subject rights should be sent to the Data Protection Officer via regular mail to the Company's registered office address marked "for the Data Protection Officer" or to the email address: [email protected], as well as to any other email address designated by the Company for these purposes.

10. Right to Object and Withdrawal of Consent

If your personal data is processed based on legitimate interest (Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR), you have the right to object to such processing in accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR.

You can exercise your right to object by sending a message via email to [email protected].

If your personal data is processed based on your consent in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time in accordance with Article 7 (3) of the GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent as described in point 6.

11. Data Security

As part of your visit to the website, we use the common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in combination with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we revert to v3 128-bit technology instead. You can recognize whether encryption is being used by the display of a key or padlock symbol in the bottom status bar of your browser.

We also implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved depending on technological developments.
